We understand that living in accommodation can be as challenging as it is rewarding. For some of you, this may be the first time living away from home and in a multicultural community. We provide a range of support services which you can make use of to help you settle in.
Residential Advisors are a dedicated team of experienced University students who live in our on-campus residences to provide student-to-student support to their fellow residents, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for our community.
You can count on them to provide information and advice from their own perspective as a student at Surrey, help with any communal living challenges that arise, and be there for you if you are feeling homesick or unsure how to navigate living in halls.
Plus, they work closely with our Events and Communities team and are well-supported to deliver a positive service to residents and guide you to other support services if you need them.
In addition to their supportive role, Residential Advisors also organise exciting social activities to help you make the most of your time at Surrey. Keep an eye out for them in their vibrant yellow t-shirts during their visits to your flat – don't forget to give them a warm hello!
