This section will show you how to set up and access your university email and calendar from various devices. It also explains what happens to your university email when you leave the University.
- Your email address is in the following format: username@surrey.ac.uk. For example, ab12345@surrey.ac.uk.
- Your email address will give you access to many University services such as your Surrey365 email inbox, SurreyLearn and eduroam Wi-Fi.
- The two most popular ways to access your Surrey email inbox are the MySurrey App and the Outlook Web App.

Your department will use your student email to contact you about important messages regarding your course. The University also shares news, events and other information using email so it is important that you check your account regularly.
The Outlook Web App allows you to access your email, calendar and contacts online from anywhere with a good internet connection, on a number of devices. The University provides all students with a Microsoft Office 365 email account with a 100GB mailbox limit.

Surrey365 is the University's email service which is provided through a partnership between the University and Microsoft using Microsoft's Office 365 service.
Surrey365 provides email and calendaring to the University and has the benefits of a 50GB mailbox, effective spam filtering and a fast interface.
Logging into Surrey365 for the first time:
- To login to Surrey365 visit: surrey365.surrey.ac.uk
- When you login for the first time you will be prompted to restart Outlook.
- Once Outlook has restarted enter your IT account username and password. Your username must be followed by the suffix @surrey.ac.uk, for example ta001@surrey.ac.uk.

You can access Surrey365 email on a range of smart devices. To connect to the service simply download the Outlook App from your device's app store and sign in using your University email address (username@surrey.ac.uk) and password.
