MySurrey Hive is your go-to place for advice, information and support on anything related to your Surrey experience - student life and academic.

At MySurrey Hive, you can:

  • Speak to our friendly Hive Assistants for advice and support related to any aspect of your student life
  • Relax and catch up with friends
  • Find study space, including bookable study rooms, booths and a kitchenette with fridge, microwave and filtered boiling water
  • Attend events and workshops.

MySurrey Hive Stag Hill and Manor Park are open 8am - midnight, 365 days a year as a study and social space. You can find the latest staffed hours for support below.

Seasonal opening hours

Please note that MySurrey Hive Stag Hill and Manor Park opening times may be extended or reduced at certain points of the year, including during Welcome Week. We will share these hours below as we release them.

MySurrey Hive Stag Hill and Manor Park will be unstaffed on the dates below. This includes the front desk, phone lines and Surrey Support. You can still use the spaces for studying and socialising as normal:

  • All day on Thursday 12 December for staff training
  • From 5pm on Monday 23 December through to 8:30am on Thursday 2 January for the University's winter break closure.

Campus Safety will still be available throughout these periods for any safety concerns.

Campus Safety

Campus Safety are here to help and support you though your University experience. You can make an appointment to speak to a member of our friendly team about any student safety concerns that you have, including drugs, wellbeing and mental health.

Centre for Wellbeing

The Centre for Wellbeing offers pastoral care by offering guidance, advice and someone to talk to about the sort of issues and challenges that you may experience.

This might include relationship or family difficulties, depression, anxiety, bereavement, severe weight change, drink and/or drug problems, severe mood swings, unpredictable behaviour, sleep difficulties, or pregnancy.

We are not a clinical or medical centre, but are a good source of pastoral support to our student community.

IT Support

Our IT hub has a range of great resources, how to guide and more.

Looking for Advice and Support as you navigate your time at Surrey? The Students' Union's Support Zone have got you.

If things feel a little overwhelming or you don’t know where to turn, they have the friendliest team of advisors on hand to help. They are also here if you want to help other students too, through our peer-support services.

Using the rooms

Please be as courteous as possible when you are using the meeting rooms, these are professional workspaces. Respecting the furniture and leaving the room in a tidy manner is essential so that it’s ready for the next user. Please be reminded that hot food and drink are to be enjoyed outside of the rooms.

Meeting rooms

Our meeting rooms are reserved during the day for professional services to host student support appointments. After 5pm and at the weekends, the meeting rooms are available for students to use. 

The MySurrey Hive is proud to present a range of free evening events held during term time. These events are run by our amazing MySurrey Hive Ambassadors, who are Surrey students just like you. Learn more on our Ambassadors webpage. They run a range of events on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evening so come along and relax, meet new friends and maybe even try something new!
