MySurrey

Both achievements are predominately due to the University’s strong performance in the National Student Survey (NSS) over the past two years; the NSS now ranks the University ninth for student satisfaction excluding specialist institutions and colleges.

Surrey improved 10 places in The Sunday Times overall table, rising to 22nd spot - its highest position in the table since 2017.

The Sunday Times highlighted Surrey’s entry into the top five for satisfaction in the wider undergraduate experience, and the top 20 for teaching quality.

The University was also one of only five nominees for the accolade of The Sunday Times University of the Year.

A week later, Surrey climbed 33 places to rank 24th in The Guardian University Guide 2023, to achieve its highest position in this table since 2018.

This guide focuses on areas that matter most to students, ranking UK universities in eight areas including subject, student-to-staff ratio, spending on teaching per student, career prospects and student satisfaction.
